On the eve of June 13, 2017, Aubade had the pleasure of hosting jewelry designers Noor Fares and Eugenie Niarchos for the first time in Kuwait. Noor Fares is a Parisienne born Lebanese designer who has used her culture’s rich roots in jewelry and her love for talismanic jewels to inspire her collections. Her eponymous brand was launched in 2009.
Eugenie Niarchos is a Greek heiress and socialite who started her jewelry brand, Venyx, in 2014. Combining the words Venus and Onyx, Venyx focuses on elements of the earth and nature, with a futuristic and galactic approach.
The event started with a private “welcome” Iftar at Sadu House, a Kuwaiti museum, where a small number of VIP guests were invited to dine with Noor and Eugenie. These guests were treated to a traditional Arabic Iftar catered by Fauchon Kuwait. Following the Iftar, the trunkshow was then combined with Aubade’s corporate Ramadan ghabga, which was hosted for Aubade’s clientele to mingle and socialize in a cozy setting. It also enabled the clients to meet the jewelry designers and shop their latest collections.
Noor Fares was showcasing Akasha, a collection inspired by ancient Eastern spiritual symbols, like the ‘Flower of Life’ and ‘Sri Yantra’. Meanwhile Eugenie showcased Elementa, a collection inspired by elements of the earth such as the sun, moon and stars. Events planner Bibi Hayat, of The November Company, helped bring these jewelry themes to life by creating a mystical setting for the event and trunkshow, while Ecru‘s marble and mirror stars provided the perfect backdrop for the jewelry display.
