On June 13, 2017, Aubade hosted its first corporate ghabga, which took place at the local Kuwaiti museum – Sadu House. A ghabga is the Kuwaiti word for “Ramadan gathering” and it takes place throughout the month during evenings. Ghabgas are known for their social aspect, whereby guests socialize with one another and treat themselves to sweets, coffees and teas, lasting past midnight.
At Aubade’s ghabga, the ambience was set with live oud music playing in the background. Guests were also treated to a lavish buffet of delicious canapes by Fauchon Kuwait, which sat at the heart of a truly breathtaking setup by the talented Bibi Hayat of The November Company. Bibi and her dedicated team transformed the courtyard of Sadu House into a floral garden, with touches of crystals, candles, lanterns and stars to create a truly mystical night.
The highlight of the night were our hosted guests, jewelry designers Noor Fares and Eugenie Niarchos of Venyx. Both Noor and Eugenie had a display of their latest jewelry collections, and our clientele got to enjoy meeting the designers and shopping their jewels.
We would like to thank Sadu House for allowing us to host our event at their venue, Fauchon for their outstanding catering, and Bibi Hayat and her team for transforming our event into a truly memorable night.
