Over the summer, Aubade successfully launched its partnership with Farfetch, an online retail platform that sells products from numerous boutiques worldwide. Farfetch, which was founded in 2007 by Portuguese entrepreneur José Neves, was created with the vision of enabling small, independent boutiques to compete in the marketplace while retaining their ‘bricks and mortar’ stores and their own visual identity. Today, Farfetch houses products from over 700 boutiques and brands from around the globe, with an estimated 10 million site visits per month, and ships to customers in almost 190 countries.
After 3 years in business, Aubade took the decision to extend its market outreach beyond its Kuwait and GCC client-base and to explore the world of online retail. By partnering with Farfetch, Aubade has been able to tap into the markets of new regions, such as the USA, Singapore, and Australia. Additionally, Farfetch has provided Aubade with the opportunity to set up a visual and online catalogue of the various products it carries, and which its clients can conveniently browse.
